Don’t just look at the appearance of bathroom handles! Stainless steel thickness and craftsmanship are the key to durability

2025 10/24

When choosing a stainless steel bathroom handle, appearance is merely a bonus. Sufficient thickness and quality of craftsmanship are key factors in determining its ability to withstand the humid environment and last.

1. Thickness: Don't be fooled by "thin" designs; choose 1.2mm or higher for durability.

Bathroom handles are pulled and pulled repeatedly daily and are subject to moisture erosion. Their thickness directly impacts their load-bearing capacity and resistance to deformation.

• Handles thinner than 1.0mm are prone to loosening, bending, or even breaking over time, and are particularly unsuitable for installation on heavy glass doors.

• Handles with a thickness of 1.2mm-1.5mm are recommended. They feel sturdy when gently bent, offer greater load-bearing and durability, and are perfectly adequate for everyday household use.

2. Craftsmanship: Three details distinguish quality and avoid rust and paint chips.

The humid environment of a bathroom can magnify workmanship flaws. Choosing the right craftsmanship will prevent handles from rusting and peeling after just six months.

• Surface Treatment: Prefer brushed stainless steel or PVD vacuum coating. The former offers a delicate touch and resists fingerprints, while the latter offers enhanced rust resistance and can be produced in a variety of finishes, including matte and glossy finishes. Avoid standard spray-painting, as moisture can easily cause paint to flake and expose the base.

• Welds: Carefully examine the welds between the handle and the base. High-quality craftsmanship ensures no welds or gaps, and a smooth, even feel. Visible welds and burrs allow moisture to penetrate through these gaps, accelerating rust.

• Edge Polishing: High-quality handles have rounded edges to prevent scratches during use and reduce "dead corners" where moisture can accumulate, making them easier to clean and ultimately extending their lifespan.
